I'm guessing at least 10 more people will tell you how late this thread is . We've already got plans to try and re-un-dumb the stupid.

I believe it's all about what producers and editors want to see on TV. It was never meant to be about the sport. :)

I never saw the original post, so I'll pretend I still haven't seen it & post here instead

My cousin & I played this weekend & he mentioned seeing that episode to me while we were out at the field. He mentioned the up close shooting but I didn't think much of it because I hadn't seen it yet. I actually had forgotten about it until I saw this topic.

After seeing the Youtube video I have a two main thoughts: Poor narration & poor direction.

The narrator making the comments about concussions & broken noses was completely rediculous. The scene at the end was staged. She fell to the ground & whined because she was told to, it was a total setup. When he comes over to check she doesn't shoot him with her marker, it was laying on the ground next to her mask. It actually appears she snaps him w/ her barrel sock maybe? That's when he does the retarded thing & shoots her while she has her mask off. Of course she shouldn't have had it off anyway, but again, it all seemed staged for tv purposes. Anyways, when she gets up & shoots him back, she has her mask on. Poor editing. Ev erything w/ that final scene looks way worse than it is. I'm not minimizing the lack of safety exhibited by the girl because she took her mask off, but at the same time it was edited, narrated, & produced poorly.

Its not just femme fatals, its Miss-Stress canada as well. I know the girl (nikki) that got shot in the leg with the saran wrap. when they were contacted to do this it seemed that it would be a half hour segment on the evolution of paintball, not just some dumb scene's. If you go to the Toronto paintball forum link in the other thread and read all the comments there you will understand better, 'paintful' is nikki's dad, and the owner of Ground Zero paintball. He is an awesome guy and would have never done anything that would put his daughter's or his sponsored teams into any danger. The host was not suppose to shoot when she had her mask off.(but he is clearly a noob, and lacks a large amount of common sense.)
