I am looking for new bands and styles to listen to and would like to see what everyone else here listens to. So here is the plan, I will post bands that I regularly listen to and you do the same, hopefully this will open up some new musical interests to a few. If you do not recognize a band I will do my best to describe what they are and how they sound.

Recently, I've been getting into alot of Electro, Dutch House, Dirty Dutch, and Dubstep music. As for artists in those genres, you can give DJ Chuckie, Afrojack, Sidney Sampson, Steve Aoki, Dada Life, Nero, Diplo a listen, but most of them will have to be searched with "remix", "mix", "bootleg" or "original" if you want to find them on youtube.

I like the Pandora online radio; and I created a station called Boombox, which plays everything I need it to.
These are all under the same general genre, which has a headnodic, house, trip-hop-ish style. VERY awesome for just getting zoned out to. I have this station playing almost non-stop, and would recommend to everyone at least a listen.

Boombox
Miike Snow
Thievery Corporation (awesome)
The Whitest Boy Alive
Kaskade
Cut Copy (more of a British pop than anything)
Phoenix
FC Kahuna
Iron and Wine (more alternative)
M.I.A (more gangsta feel)
Royksopp
RJD2
Wax Tailor
Peter Bjorn and John (kinda folksy)
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros (also folksy)

I would have never been exposed to this type of music w/o pandora, and it has now become my most favorite type of music to listen to.

I want to get a pandora setup for my car. Stream that instead of regular radio or the satellite radio.

So any bets on where music is headed?
60's saw the blues transform into rock
70's saw rock turn to pop/disco
80's switched the disco to hair metal (keeping the glam of disco)
90's took hair metal and made it into grunge, and faded out to the college rock sound
00's took college rock and made it into nu metal, then to straight rock.
10's ????

well music also was in a hip hop phase as well at this time, i think possibly techno will gain even more prevalence.

Music:

Payable on Death (alt/rock)
The Cross Movement (Hip-Hop, Christian)
Flame (Hip hop, Christian)
Thi'sl (Hip hop, Christian)
Lecrae (Hip hop, Christian)
Tedashii (Hip hop, Christian)
Pillar (rock)
Skillet (rock)
Decyfer Down (rock)
Demon hunter (Thrash metal)
Becoming the Archetype (metalcore)
As I lay dying (Thrash or metalcore)
Stryper (rock)

Last summer down (techno)
Rise Against (rock)
Atreyu (rock)
Killswitch Engage (metal)
Chris Cornell (rock/acoustic)
Bruce Cockburn (acoustic)
Linkin Park (rock)
Disturbed (metal)

some of those genres are probably wrong.

Yo! So my boy Killa J just dropped his "4th & Inches" mix tape last night. You can cop it here, or on the front page of www.currenthiphip.com.

I'm trying to find my man Final Outlaw's tape too. I thought he said he had it online (I got a hard copy).

And yes, the Co-Captain of the Headbangers has friends that rap. I love the stuff.
