Went to do our barrel test videos yesterday and when I was shooting the ole Ion, after about 5-10 consecutive ramping shots, the balls would just roll out of the barrel. Now I havent messed with my dwell since I got my L6 bolt, its always been set at 12. Never had one problem with it. Im assuming this problem is related to the battery, I havent had time to run and get another battery, im just wondering if you all think its the battery as well.

Another problem could have been the battery wire, the black wire going to the 9volt connector came off, after suffering a nice 2nd degree burn on my hand from the soudering iron (ouch) i got it back on and it works fine. I dont have any air to try it out, but the gun turns on and switches from eyes on/off.

So, is it the battery or something else?

Sounds like air starvation. Check your tank on another marker to see if it's ok. If your tank was below 800 you'll get shoot down. Is the reg ok on the ion. Has it been serviced lately?

However a bad battery on any noid marker will cause odd events including air starvation problems because the selenoid is electric.

It could be the battery or it could be the reg having shootdown as well as you being low on air.

I had about 2500 psi left in the tank and it worked fine on my X7. I havent lubed the reg since I got the Ion on Christmas. Its had about 7000 rounds through it so I guess I better lube it a bit hehe, Ill throw a new battery in it tonight.

check the battery, check the hoses, and raise your dwell slightly. The reg shouldn't be the problem but it definitely wouldn't hurt to clean it while you're doing everything else.

I have a pump up BB gun that does that... It'll hold air as you pump but once you pull the trigger it kinda hisses and doesn't put out more air than me blowing would. The BB/pellet just kinda falls out.

Fox urine nothing! I would rent an elephant from the local circus and give it a massive dose of ex-lax. I would then proceed to "cork it" with an attached string so when the kids show up KABLOOEE!!!!!! See if their parents can sue an elephant for defacating! -ZZaque
