how would you suggest to make a winter ghillie? i have a great action ghillie that i also use for turkey hunting but i stick out like a sore thumb. i would prefer something lighter weight but it doesn't really matter cause its winter so the warmer the better i suppose. Thanks!

i was thinking something more simple than that like this.... it looks like he used ripped towel or sheet or something. Im thinking of just buying a fishing net and tying on ripped cloth

The first one is a ghillie cape. looks to be some white jute on a base. The cape would allow you to wear what ever you want underneath and is easy to remove. It looks to be made more for kneeling and to be wrapped around you. I'd make it a bit longer.

As for an old bed sheet, that would be fine but it may not actually be white. Sweat and bleach can discolor the fabric leaving it with a slight yellow tint.

step one build snowman.
step two hollow out snowman.
step three get inside snowman.

anyways I think the jute poncho would work the best. it becomes the most mobile out of them all

DeVita, the picture you showed is a guy wearing one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/GERMAN-SNOW-CAMO-PONCH...%3A1%7C294%3A50 and then he probably cut up a sheet and to make it break up the pattern a bit more.

Snow ghillie to me is pointless. When you look at it, snow has no texture, and a ghille suit it designed to creat texture to mimic the ground. A piece of white clothing with some black on it would do fine.
