The simple answer is no. If you have $38 go here and pick this one up. For an air tank its really cheap and you'll be able to use your Ion effectively.

Oh... well then, I would suggest doing some chores around the house, and maybe helping out neighbors. I'm assuming you already have the ION, seeing as you don't have any money, then you couldn't buy the ION itself. So your kinda stuck. If you can't get HPA you could try selling the ION and then getting something that can run off of CO2, or you could just save up and get the air tank.

In that case the point is moot since you can't buy paint.

Paintball is a sport/game that requires money. Sometimes a lot.

It is possible to run an Ion on CO2 if you take all the proper precautions, anti siphon, stabilizer and expansion chamber. What will happen to your Ion if you get liquid CO2 from a regular tank? Destroy your solenoid, damage the regulator, trash the eyes, freeze the bolt in place....

Electronic markers just aren't CO2 friendly.

All has been resolved I am taking it back in exchange for a 98 custom electronic markers just are not my kinda thing better to stick to the more rugged and reliable markers. And to what slowerpig81 said I have the money for paint and I also have the money for CO2 seeing as around here it's about $2 for refills. :ghillie:

Little late here but you can run Co2 on an Ion Xe. It has a regulator that will keep the liquid co2 from damaging your noid.

I'm sorry lou, but I'm going to disagree with you here. I've seen liquid CO2 get into an XE, and it wasn't pretty. It is right in the instructions to use an anti-syphon or HPA. Even if the reg would protect it, it's $40 bucks extra or $240 for a new one. Better safe than sorry.

Read the manual. It explains that they can run on CO2, and how to get best performance.
