Take a look at a Tippmann Carbine, If you break it down its just a cylinder with a hose coming off of it. A-5 has too much molded to the frame to be easily modable like that.
Q: How many George W. Bush Administration officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: None. There is nothing wrong with the light bulb; it’s condition is improving every day. Any reports of it’s lack of incandescence are totally unfounded, and the result of delusional“ spin” assaults from the fanatic, elitist, liberal media. That light bulb has served honorably, and anything you say undermines the lighting effect and dims it’s ego. WHY DO YOU HATE FREEDOM?!

Great Advice. I'll snoop around the B/S/T section for one.

Check the paint's label. Each one is different. When I tested the pattern, I was using some plain old spray paint and it said it was dry in 1/2 hour. So I whipped out the next layer less than an hour later.

I have a heated garage. So I let 'em sit there.

Looks good. Looks like an decent amount of tape, not too much, not too little...
Does the stock have a basecoat of black? It looked odd in the picture. Wherever you have tape, you wont have paint. (just checking.)

there appears to be straight tape on the bottom of the stock on this photo, is it torn and just looks like straight tape? You want the torn edges to give it that tigery feel.

All in all, looks like you are on the right path. Can't wait to see the final results.

Oh yea, is it going to be green tigerstripe, or urban?

i cant paint it today or pretty much all this weekend because massachusetts weather sucks.

it wasnt done with the same technique, but i painted a buddy's extra mask because he wanted to see if i could make a decent tiger stripe pattern... he wasnt disappointed, and again, it was just a couple cans of krylon and painters' tape

before I do any more painting I would like some input from you guys. Do you think I used enough tape or too much? Also in the pictures you'll see a green hopper i experimented with, do you think that green is too bright or is it ok?

If you are going for an amstripe look, I would say more tape.
