Right now I am using two 140 round pods in a pouch on my belt and 200 in my hopper on my 98c, Is this a good amount of paint? Or is it too much or too little?
Thanks,
Corporal catnip

Shouldn't listen to any number you get from this threads...Play and play and play and gradually you'll discover for yourself how much paint you need.

Thanks, next time I play I'll see how much excess paint I have or how much more I need to bring.

QFT!

I carry 2 or 3 100 round pods when using my pump, at least at a big game I do. Otherwise I use 3 140 rd pods with my etek. However like ten said, YOU use how many you are comfortable with. Remember, just because you can carry more doesnt mean you have to.

Yeah, your going to get all sorts of numbers from 1 to infinity.

For me, if its a casual game, I'll bring 3-4. At a scenario I usually bring 5, and speedball I bring 2-3.

speedball: 2x140
rec woodsball: 2x140
pistol primary: 0 (barrel tags... :dodgy: )

if i carry 2 pods, I usually only use them if i get caught in an INTENSE firefight. usually i go through maybe 100 rounds in the above mentioned setups (except pistola). i have never had to use my second pod.

^^^what he said. whatever works. my friend goes out with 6-8 pods (and calls himself a "dagger"). my cousin usually goes through 3-4 and asks to borrow some. it depends on ur style of play...rate of fire...# of targets...length of game...how good your teammates are.... Play, then decide.

Like what everyone else said it's a personal choice. Not only do different people shoot different amounts, different fields/gametypes/time limits can also really effect the amount of paint you use.

I personally don't use a harness and usually use either a 40 round or 90 round hopper. That's just all I need for the 20 or so minute games I play.

It all depends on how accurate you are, how long rounds are, and how aggressive you are.

I carry 4 pods + hopper. I tend to go through either a hopper, or hopper + pod depending on the game, but there have been times were I have used 2-3 pods. I find it helpful to have them there just incase.

I usually carry 2 100rd pods and a 180rd hopper. Works fine for me. Let us know what you decide to go with after you try a few variations.

Well, I'm probably the exception to the norm.
I take out 5 pods and a full Pinokio (250, not the 400 nose).
I rarely use all 5 (usually a hopper and 3 pods), but I'm a gun fighter and I give myself cover fire when moving.

Plus, with extra pods you can toss them off to other people and then they owe you a beer*....or something else

I carry 1200 rds but thats mainly because i use that for a whole day of play, i dont like having to go refill or miss any games because i dont have enough paint. Like everyone else said its just a matter of your playing style and what you are comfortable with.
