I'm thinking of investing in a good barrel for my 98 custom. With some research I've found that the Lapco BigShot Barrel is a good candidate. I was looking into getting a Stiffi barrel, but I'm not so sure 'cause of bore size and all. Any good suggestions on what barrel would be best for a 98 custom? I'm looking for accuracy and dependibility. Thanks, any help is appreciated!

I have the Lapco bigshot for the 98c and its avery good barrel I almost got the stiffi but the Lapco beat it out for me. Also It's my opinion that you should go w/the 12" not much diff between it and 14" efficency wise, and saves you manuever room through the bush.

The raging scott and I have j and j's in 14,16,and 20 inches...... they are all very accurate and quiet for the money... yes, they really do self clean..... the teflon coating in the bore is very effective

go for the 12", its the same as the 14" accuracy wise and it will allow you for better movement just like snake eyes said

I have big shots on 2 a5s and an old tippy 68 special and an auto spirit on a 98 custum and they all perform excellent.the only differance with the auto spirit is a slightly smaller bore.I did some testing of the 12" against the 14" bigshots on the A5s and there is no differance in accuracy.another barrel that works well is the thunder pig barrel which is rifled and looks very mil-sim.The bigshots are pretty accurate and work well with any paint you put thrue them as long as its decent paint.
