Has anyone used a crossbow scope on their marker? I know that crossbow's shoot at similar fps as paitball markers (280-310) and that their scopes compensate for drop. You sight the scope in at 20yds and there are hash marks under the crosshairs that signify the drop at 30 and 40yds respectively. I know that a paintball wont fly as straight as a crossbow bolt but would the drop be similar?

I doubt it. Paintballs are not aerodynamic like bolts, they are shaped in such a way that they create more drag, slow down sooner, and hence drop sooner.

That's actually a really good idea. The drop wouldn't be identical, but it would probably be similar. Obviously the paintball won't be as accurate, but if you were working at effective paintball distances and not counting on perfect OSOK, a crossbow scope could be very useful.

It would depend very much on how heavy a draw the crossbow the scope was designed for had. A 300lb draw crossbow is going to throw its quarrel a heckuvalot further than a 150lb draw crossbow.
