For the QLoader, try to mount it like mine if you like the look, very comfortable

A5-a2 grip (the one i have)

you see the slot in the front that the a5 hooky thing goes in? i think i might try to slip something to mount it up through that.

like this: (that way i can still use the grip)

If I were you, I would just mount the QLoader on the barrel, the closer you can to the body, less custom work, about the same balance (because of the stock).

uhhh i wouldnt even know how to mount it on a barrel. but that seems like it would make it hard to remove and might ruin a c-series, since they fray away if damaged. I think it will work pretty well where i drew it. I think running a metal peice over the sawed off grip will make it easier to tap a hole to reinforce my front grip on too. (because my grip isnt even attatched yet, it just looks like it in the pic) :) thanks for the suggestion though. I like the help.

Hey all, i cut off my foregrip on monday and i JB welded it today so i'm waiting for it to dry, and then ill get a pick up hopefully tomorrow. I plan on tapping it for a weaver rail for an A5-A2 foregrip.

EDIT 6/15/07: OK, i finished JB welding it and sanding it down. I'm beginning to paint it Tigerstripe, so i'll have pics of the finished product up soon.

i think mounting it as close to the body would be the best idea too

Bringing it back...

So I think tomorrow I'm going to begin lopping off my front grip. I'd like to go with a PSG1 style front grip and would love some input on how to go about fabbing one up. I want it to start from where the stock front grip was and extend about 10in out my barrel. What is the best way to secure the front grip to the barrel? What materials should I look at using to build the grip?

heres a psg1

Does anyone know if cutting off that foregrip makes it harder to keep the receiver halves tight, since there's a screw that goes there?

What can you do to adjust for that?

Its not really an issue that I've noticed, the screw that's up by the front sight keeps the halves nice and tight.

Alright, I'm doing this. I was gonna try this Sunday, but then I remembered that I won't be able to hook any air up immediately, since I left my original gas line back in Wyoming after getting an X Chamber. But I'm going to gather materials and hopefully within the month it'll be done.

I had an idea to get narrower picatinny rails so that you could glue one to each side. Maybe.
