ok so the basics of my saftey speach are mbe

mask - i allways remind people that the glass part must be on your eyes and the foam on your face, not that it matters much but people gripe when i kick them out because the mouth part over there eyes
barrle bag- simple, on tight
elmination rules - our field, ball break anywhere on you or your gear, must break, must be the size of a quarter. when hit, hand up and clearly over your head, yell as loud as you can HIT!!! and walk off

it takes all of 2 min and its dead simple, i know i missed like 60 things, but this is what seems to come up
whats in yours ? what importand things am i missing do you think?

We have a safety video so I just touch up on when they should have their masks/socks on, they just need to ignore me when I go in to check them, dont be afraid to ask questions, etc.

ours is fairly long but we hit a lot of things(for rental groups with newbs our regulars get a shortnened version) we tell them about goggles and fogging issues as well as gun operation(we inform them they are not to perform any repairs and not to remove the tanks under any circumstances. We also go over what to do if there goggles come off during play(insert palms of hands into eye sockets and bury your head between your knees while kneeling) then we cover items specific to our field such as no crawling through building windows and use foot bridges over the creek and some others items. We cover mercy rules ,paintchecks, neutral players, blind shooting and then we remind them that goggles and barrel plug are # 1 rule.there a few other items we cover but mostly its just informative things about the field.

Ours is the standard, paint check, etc.

What different about ours, is we warn people abouit the wildlife and plants. I have seen coyotes, armadillos, snakes (posionous and non), bobcats, and there is even rumored to be a panther. We tell people not to hide behind cactus, because, as we say, paintballs go through cactus and being their little friends with them.

I've got a list that I need to go over:

Masks & Strap Adjustment (pull tabs to tighten, etc. keep on face at all times)
Gun Functions (safety is here, if it doesnt work do this, etc.)
BBDs (put it in your pocket, sock, around neck, put it on before deadboxes, etc.)
Gameplay (hit, go here, bunkering rules, etc.)
Other rules (don't shoot lights, etc.)
Q&A

Lmao. As soon as the speeches are over kids will spend oh...3seconds tops trying to adjust their masks and then come running to me about it. I think part of the problem is most of their tiny arms cant reach behind their heads.

You'll learn that every thing is scared of you. I ran towards the bobcat and it ran in the other direction, away from me. The big thing to watch out here is snakes. When it rains, water tends to collect in many different size puddles, and water mocassions (sp) love in them.

I tell them to watch me and the other Refs when it comes to masks. If we have our on, theirs had better be on too. If ours are off, it's fine for them to take theirs off. This won't work for everyone, but we have a really good reffing staff that follows its own rules.

BBDs: Put it in when you're out, only take it out when I yell for you to just before the game starts. No exceptions.
