I'm going to try and make an extended mag for the TPX.
I do not have a clue where to start though so share your ideas.

I think it would require a little more work than that. It's do-able but a lot of work.

The bottom mag will require some plastic filler to make a smooth continous channel face for the staggered balls to slide across (the upper back portion of the mag has a lot of doo dads that will create gaps when removed). You also will not end up with a spring lock right to the bottom of the extended mag. That shouldn't be a problem as it will be loaded like an automatic pistol mag. There is also the slot on each side of the magazine for the guide to travel in .......it will be longer and somewhat instable. The bottom portion of the mag will need the slot realigned with the slot at the bottom of the top mag for the guide plate (above the main spring to continue into the bottom mag) to move into the extension portion.

I think if you cut off 2" off the top of the second mag it would blend better .......but carry less than double the capacity. I was also thinking of using some form of bracer to reinforce the conection point (perhaps a plastic sheet on one side of the mag to hold everything together). I also considered making an outer sheet metal mag which could hold both parts together ......like a long sten gun mag.

I bought 2 mags 3 mths ago (The furthest I got was disassembly of one mag).
