Hey everyone,
I'm planning a big paintball game in early May, and I've come to realize that I'll need a chronograph to ensure that everyone will be shooting at a legal FPS.
The debate for me is, which chronograph to buy, and whether or not I should buy from Action Village in the states, whereas I live in Canada...though here chronos sell for around $120CAD

Here is a link to the Custom Chronograph X Radar Deluxe:

Here is a link to the Hand Held 361:

Thanks, I greatly appreciate any replies,

Alright, thanks guys. Now, the challenge will be convincing my parents that I need a chronograph...I asked them and they said that I shouldn't have to buy one, because everyone should pay for it together...

Makes sense....but then comes the problem of who keeps it while it isn't being used and things of that matter.

Precisely. I suggested charging $2 per player for admission, to play at a game I'm hosting in early May, but I don't know if she was listening...
I hate how it's sooo difficult to buy a chrono in Canada :ghillie:
They're all $50 more expensive than they are in the United States...and I'm going to have to convince her to let me buy internationally...gahhhhh....

I'm a happy user of the 361, but I feel the X radar would be what I would buy now.

The 361 has a 2 digit screen (No problem - It flashes the reading e.g. 2 / 80)
You have to keep pressing the reset button between shots

The X-Radar has the extra feature of BPS, which I believe means you don't have to keep resetting between shots
and it has a 3 digit screen

Even though this ONE is more than what you posted, its an Improved Version of the 361...Ive used the same one at a feild that held a Scenario Game not too long ago and the features is about the same as that on the Big Red Chronographs that most Paintball Fields have and use.

The 361 is great. I was so happy when I got it. It's simple to use. In an ideal world you and your friends would chip in some money for it. I tried this for at least 6 months. I gave up and just paid for one. Usually nobody wants to chip in money for a chrono.

I have one of those big red ones you see at the pay to play places. Its pretty cool.

And then I have a 361. Awesome. But then it got damaged. I called the number on the back of the Chrono, and they refered me to another number. The manufacturer. Ok, the president of the company. I told him my story, and he said that I needed to send it in. Why? Because he wanted to be sure that I had a working product no matter what.

I sent it in. One week later, maybe ten days, I had a brand new product.

They have a web site Here and I think their products are the best just because of who operates the company and how they take care of people.

You should consider something. Besides chronoing before the game, are you going to be doing spot checks on players during the game? If soe you want a chrono that is easily used on the field during a game.
