1.) Do you have to have a team?
2.) Any age limit?
3.) Special rules on guns?
4.) What should you be prepared for?

Ok.. this will likely get moved to the "Questions about the SPPL" section, but here goes...

1). You will have to play with a team in the end. However, that doesn't mean that you need one. Often times teams are quite willing to pick up a player here or there. Contact a couple of the teams that register for the qualifier you are planning on, and see what they say.

2). The only age limit is that enforced by the field itself. So that varies by qualifier.

3). Yes.

hehe... The full rules for 2007 haven't been released yet, but they will be similar to those in 2006. Basically, your gun either needs to be mechanical, or your hopper needs to be rated to feed less than 15bps. There is an extensive thread (stickied) in this forum on this topic, check it out if you have more questions.

4). Everything and anything, but most of all to have a blast and play some of the most stand-up and friendly paintball you ever have, while at the same time being incredibly intense.

1. no but you might not be pickup by another team. 2. What ever the limit is set by field. 3. Yes what the field sets for rate of fire and rampping or not or full auto or not. also read the rules for the last year and that shoul help on other questions. 4 Fun.

the link from last years rules aren't working. where can i cat a copy or an updated version for 2007? I'm thinking of attending the PA Qualifiers at EMR as its only like 3 hours away! I love that place!
When Honor is tested at 300 feet per second, will you pass the test?

Yes there will be updates to the rules I took all the notes and a lot of sugestions and well made some revisions but the basic rules remain the same. We are at the point that its more of a twek then a rewrite.

in the new 2007 rules can a person carry more than one air source? For example i run a 45ci 4500psi tank on my gun, if I run out of air can just pop on my 20oz CO2 tank and chrono it in with a field ref? or can I bring my own chrono?. just wondering if that is against the rules or not.

you are allowed as far as i know to carry as much paint and air WITH you as you can carry (i.e. .. it has to be on you person and not on ground.. like in a vest, pod pack or a back pack. and there would no reason that you would need to get re-chronoed... if you chrono with a full tank of air/co2 and run out and you use a different tank that is full, you chrono speed should be the same if not very similar, tanks not vary much with chronoing.. just changes in the gun will so you'd be fine in that area.

yeah the only question is, "can players bring their own chrono device on the field?" I have personal experience of firing my gun running on air, then changing it over to CO2 and the gun is firing faster then it was. I don't want to cost my team points for shooting hot.
