i wear steel toed hiking boots. Cause i usually roll my ankle at least once a year, so i want something with some decent support...and i stub my toe ALL the time...so the steel toe prevents ouchies. :D Nothing hurts like ramming your toes into a tree root while running.

i dont actually know, but it seems like if they didnt fit your foot EXACTLY .. width, length, toes, height, heel, it would be terribly uncomfortable

Are they any good? 'Cause that seems like a decent price if they are a quality product.

I use a pair of old combat boots....If you do that, be sure to get some with knobby bottoms. There are (gasp) some that are pretty slick on the bottom.

The other thing I use are some construction boots. They're pretty solid and hold up well, plus they have the support Legs was talking about.

I have some cammo boots made by Irish Setter. Unbelievable comfort. I've always bought cheap $40.00 boots and I use to get tired and fatigued half way through the day. Now I'm fine all day. It's amazing what good footwear will do for you.

We play in real thick woods with dry creekbeds, hills, and crazy thorns. They're great for climbing and digging in on steep hills. The thorns won't penetrate the soles either which is good. Had that happen a few times. Really painful.
