i bought my 98 custom used around 7 months ago, until now i've never really quesioned it. i keep seeing alot of gas shoot out the barrel, is it not sealing? DOES THE FLATLINE USE A O-RING?! checking the pdf instilaion instructions on the tippmann website shows nothing about an o-ring, but everyother barrel i've ever seen has one...... so i need another flatline owner to step up to the challange and answer me one question.... does it? thanks, kryton

The flatline does not require an O-ring. Is the gas coming out of the end of the barrel (the front end)? Next question, was the barrel that the flatline replaced a ported barrel?

Where is the air coming out? Check the o-ring on the front bolt. Are you using CO2? CO2 creates a sort of muzzle flash because of the temperature difference due to the expansion process.
