I just got mine in from ebay today, and it looks awesome. It comes with a 10'', 12'', and 14'' fronts (length includes back), and 5 different backs. I'm going to shoot it this weekend to see how it performs. So far the only complaints I have about it is the fact that the one I got from ebay has like stains or something on it on the outside, and since it's ceramic, every once in awhile you get a nice loud fingernails-on-chalkboard noise. This $150 kit is easily found on ebay in new condition for around $90 shipping included, and ActionVillage sells them for $80 plus shipping. Also on the 14'' combo, I measured 8'' of porting! This is the best barrel kit for the money, especially for us stealthy snipers. :( Also, why buy a Stiffi, when you can get a whole barrel kit!

How long do they all go without porting? I am planning on buying one, but I want a barrel with at least 7" of no porting.

I believe the only barrel with that much controll bore is the stock barrel that comes with the quest.

Well 14-8 is 6'' so you don't have 7'' of no porting. Then again, what's it matter as long as it shoots straight?

THIS THING IS SWEET! I put 4 balls on tops of each other all in consecutive order from 30 yards. Very very consistent. Well worth the money!

I recently got the starter kit and i was able to produce similar results. It also seemed fairly quieter compared to my old barrel for my cocker. I'll ball this weekend and tell you guys how it goes.

Dont mean to intrude on your thread headshot, i just want to back your review with one of my own, as this is a good barrel and i want people to know that.

I have not personally had the opportunity to mess around with the Edge kit yet, but I do believe a buddy here has one and seems to really like it. I may have to try it out a few times if he will let me. I woudl expect somethgin from J&J to perform with the same, if not better, results than the Ceramic produces.

Ghostinthewood, I know you recently received your Edge kit and are happier than a kid out of school for the summer, so I look forward to your out look on this barrel as well.

11/10.

This barrel coupled with a few 'homemade' mods on my cocker makes it the quiestest of all the guns I've heard. May not mean a whole lot because i ball with mostly tippys, but it still holds some water.

I have this same kit, but in an aluminum version. I haven't yet had the chance to try it with quality paint, but soon will.

I got mine a few weeks ago and it was new , but in one day of low crawling , it picked up a number of scuff marks that look the stains you mentioned. Not really a problem for me since my gun will soon be ghillied anyway.

As far as the performance goes , I totally agree it is extremely accurate(as far as paintball goes) and it goes a long way in taming the noise of my 98C.

And for $75 new , the Elite Kit was a steal for me.

Does anyone know if the Edge kit has the ceramic coating? I had herd that the older ones don't, but I have also heard that only the barrel tip has the coating. Or do both halves have the coating.......

Just trying to clear up some missing info on this product, thanx
