I'm surprised that nobody talks about Hell Survivors field and/or their big games here. They are located right in the middle of Pinckney, MI.
I'm going to play at the Monster Game for Yellow Team for my 3rd year in a row. Anyone else going?

Almost everything you might need or want to know, right here!

Shadowjackal, another friend, and I are going up for Global Conquest in June. Hotel reservations are made and pre-registrations are done.

We are really looking forward to the game!

I went up last year for Global and for the TWC - great field!

JKR, VanGuard and I are all going to Global Conquest; we are fighting for Team England! Go Green! We are all psyched up for this game. this will be the biggest game I have ever participated in. I will be using my AutoMag (which I call my SabreMag). When I run low on paint I will switch to the Phantom... Can I take my old digital camera onto the field? Do they allow that? I wish the rest of the Urban Guard could go, but work schedules will not allow my team mates to go. I will deputize JKR and VanGuard as Urban Guard members for this game...

IN the middle of Michigan!?!?!?! Right on Lake Superior!?

hi, 1-i here, you may be wondering, "Isnt lake Superior to the North of Michigan and serve as the norther border of the state and theirfore being near impossible to be the actual Middle of the state?" Well you would be correct, however if you draw interscting line from the far corners you would end up in Lake Michigan off the western coast of the lower peninsula.

Cameras are no problem to the best of my knowledge, never read otherwise. There seem to be many guys with helmet cams running around.

Unless anything has changed since last year you can take your camera on the field. Our team was at TWC last year and even had one of our team members follow us around with a media jersey taking pictures.

So, what advice do you folks (who are familiar with HS and Global Conquest) have for a first-timer? Actually, two first-timers, as my friend VanGuard has never been to HS either...

Water
Bug spray
Careful on the bridges later in the day and on Day 2 or if it has rained the day before. Some get slick.

And if you are registering the day of get in line a bit early.

^ This. I can't figure out the quoting.
Be careful when you go on any of the bridges at any time. I fell hard on one of the bridges as I was trying to be Paul Revere ("THE TANK IS COMING! THE TANK IS COMING!") because there was a little mud on it.

Also, antifog spray and lots of rags. Radio's are useful for teamwork. Bring spare everything and make sure what ever you have on the field is secure on your person.

Lone Wolf style of play is nearly impossible in the big games because of the sheer number of players. Team work and communication in general and playing aggressively is the only way of surviving and getting anything done in that game.

Find out who the general is and go straight to them before the game and ask what you can do to help the team.
