As much as I want a great product, these push backs are starting to get a little frustrating...

It's not even about a good product at this point. It is FAR too late in development to be making changes to the design and hope to have pistols on the shelves in May. My guess is they are trying to get a big stock so that more are available at the release.

I agree! I bet they have some huge pre-orders so Tippmann pushed back the date that way they wont disappoint a bunch of people by not having enough.

What's the point? They're going to disappoint a bunch of people when they realize it is the same as every other Tippmann product.

what?

Most tippmann products are noted for their rather large size and old blow back system..

And their cheaply made parts that break extremely often. And their tendency to hype things up just to make another crappy product that uses outdated technology.

Anyone get the TippmannParts email saying the the OFFICIAL release date of the TPX for the last week in April?

from email
"The release date of the Tippmann TPX 68 Caliber Pistol has been updated to the last week of April. I just talked with Tippmann this morning and they don't expect any further delays. You can pre-order one now at TippmannParts.com. We've ordered LOTS of these pistols so we have not yet sold through our initial order. You can still get in on this first shipment of the latest Tippmann paintball gun."

I won't make any joke's about people who say "are we there yet?", but I will say that they DO have pistols out for last minute feedback and that those pistols are REALLY making an impression. People who thought I was hyping this gun before, won't believe how much I like it now that I've had my hands on one! These will be both primary and sidearm for me from now on.
Here's a pic of Prototype #18, at Hell Survivors in Mi for testing(there are two mags in that 45 mag pouch I've got on the table):

Another one that shows the mag and the feedplug a little better:

So how is the prototype working out? Is it worth the money?

Is that the mag pouch that comes with the mags or something they just had on hand?

I think that's just something Agentsmith had previously.

Looks good! I may very well have to pre-order one, if someone buys my stuff!

How's the mag release button? Are you able to press it with your thumb if you're shooting right handed just like on a real pistol? Or is it too small to use the thumbs to press the mag release button?

Try this: A5OG.net - Tippmann Piston

All images are blocked for me on this computer, but I'm pretty sure that is the thread that has size comparison photos. Let me know if it is or isn't.

Yes, that is an EMDOM 6o4 pouch. molle compatible and each double pouch can put 4 mags on my belt.
The mag release is great right handed and works good with the middle finger when southpaw.

As for size comparisons, hands are so inconsistent I like this method:

This is the pic we noticed most, REAL different feel!

Hope that helps some!
These are my guns from now on!

Same. I can see the link, but none of the pics are working.

Anyway, I hope this pistol is as good as you say it is AgentSmith! Haha. I'm sure it will be, but I say that because my father and I pre-ordered 1 for each of us recently.

Sorry guys!
The pics are a problem at my end. I jumped the gun on releasing pics so early, I'll put them back as soon as I get the okay!

Maud'Dib(your name Paul by any chance?), I can honestly say these are my guns from now on. As someone who has played with literally every pistol ever made, these are my choice hands down.

Embarrased Rob
