I recently received my order and had similar experience regarding instructions not being followed, I sent a PM to Brian regarding the issues. Their response to the problems will in the end determine whether I will give this company a good review or bad. I've heard rumblings about severe problems with cops911 customer service since the merger with specops, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they are proved wrong.

now to be fair I spoke with Ryan and I am going to make videos of the problems I can physical demonstrate or show. I think these guys are experiencing growing pains and have had to resort to buying some sub standard materials to make vests.

(ok now I am FEMALE DOGing)
I mean who makes a PLASTIC ZIPPER? DOO DOO my jeans are not plastic. I think the all black MEMBERS ONLY JACKET that I had when I was 12 may have been plastic. nope I am wrong. Any of my school bags with PLASTIC zippers - nope man I cannot think of anything. WAIT my GI JOE doll ,, gimme a sec. Holy DOO DOO they even spring for metal there. can you think of any heavy duty application where they use a plastic zipper?

Well no actually the materials and workmanship seems quite good in the vest, it was just like someone shipped the vest off before it was finished. The nametag was not done (the namestrip was there, they just never put the name on it!), the belt/keepers were missing, and the internal pockets weren't finished (they were just zippered openings in the vest, no pockets!)

Edit: I got a promising response from Brian, they are going to take my vest back and fix it, made me feel alot better to get such a quick response and I'll be the first one in here singing their praises if it comes back like I hope it does

I am combining the video clips now and I am trying to find a place to host the video - my camera does these 1:30 min clips.

I hope this helps with with their quality control - I had mine done custom all the way.

here is some communication - In all fairness. They should only make things that work. I cannot for the life of me see how I was rushing anyone as this while ordeal has taken 3 months? The videos show the workmanship for what it is and it is the only factual way I can present the problems. When you see the videos and then examine the issues. If they made things where they work in the 1st place then there would be no issue. They cannot refund my time nor the money I spent on shipping overnight twice to them. I just want them to get this done right and to prevent these problems for other people getting custom vests. I am trying to approach this in a manner so as to not offend anyone involved but rather to work together to truly make the #1 vest out there. I want my vest in multicam dammit with a real zipper!

the top part of this email is the response the the lower portion was my email.

Max...

Some of your complaints are legitimate issues. I apologize for not
better inspecting the vests before shipping them but when you changed
your mind about waiting and wanted them over-nighted right away (for
which you were not charged additional) they were sent out too quickly.

Some of the issues you're stating are surprising though.

The tall smoke grenade pouches were sized to one that we have here. When
I asked if it was the standard Marine Smoke Canisters that you use, you
said yes...and that's what they were sized to.

The vest wasn't made as a duplicate to what you sent in. We discussed
this at length and I had thought you were quite clear on this and stated
that you wanted to go with a modified Broadsword instead. The Broadsword
does not have straps for shoulders. You had asked after they were made,
if you could have straps and I said we couldn't do that without starting
over.

Map/ID...we have never put a button snap on these and we have never
before had a complaint about any problems with them.

I told you how we make our belt keepers and you stated to go with that.

I informed you when you asked that we couldn't do both rubber pull tabs
(which you received) and pull straps.

I am not sure what zipper pockets you feel are missing.

All in all, this obviously hasn't been a pleasant experience for you so
if you would simply send the vests back I will gladly refund your money
100%.

Brian

Thanks for sending the vests out.

Unfortunately there is a laundry list of issues with them. after several

months of communication I guess you just did not want nor care to listen
to
my requests. It is a little dissapointing.

jsut a few

1. radios do not fit. I sent you the dimmensions of or radios
2.tall smoke grenades do not fit - they are made with velcro pouches? no

snap to hold in the smoke. If it were deeper or of the same grade of
velcro
on the puches I sent you I could see it steying in place.
3.the vest was not made with adjustable straps as the original I sent so

neither is adjustable across the top has this velcro like material. It
is
not like you did not have an original to go by.
4. the double id/map - the main map is missing the button snap.when you
pull
out they both come undone.
5. the belt loops were not made with velocro and a button snap like the
original sent.
6. you never sent the gun straps. to go with the gun strap holder -
7. the pods are missing the pull strap material - IE a piece of material

extending from the out side.
8. There is no webbing arround the straps on the side so that you can
bundle
the material - there are no straps across the tops as they were simple
neve
added. I knew you would not do that. "I could here in your voice" you
just
cut them and burn them" However I explained that is not what I wanted.
9. they are misisng the zipper pockets. I can't use our radios with out
this.

I sent pictures - identifying the problems with the vest from your
forum. So
that you could see the additional changes needed. I can see that ALL of
those were ignored.

I will go over the vests again when I get back and see what else is
wrong.

I have to get back to work as I have to leave for my game today.
the larger of the 2 mine is was not made for my dimmensions- I measured
this
and the waist was done for a much larger person.

well this was a good review of a vest, and you deemed it necassary to take over this thread as your little "complaint" area.

Those pod puller downer's are sweet on there invictus. I kinda like just pulling from the top though as i can let it down slowly so the pod doesn't go flying out of there. I can see how those would help in some cases especially with the middle pod's. I agree that the name tag would look better on the other side. I also did think the same thing about the belt keepers when i first got mine. After 3 games now though, I can say that they are just fine the way they are and seem to keep it secure. It didn't look like enough at first though...

I tend to add pouches for a squeege - spare smoke onto my web belt. I was playing with the gf and had to carry alot more weight - so that pulls the belt down making those 4 straps come loose.
