That's true...but still...half the weight and four times the price, I'm not sure which one outweighs the other(pun not intended).

The weight on your back isn't that bad. You WILL get used to it. The first time I put on a firefighters SCBA I was amazed at how light it actually feels on the back. Just make sure you can evenly distribute the weight and you should be fine.
