So i've just ordered my first paintball gun so now i need gear!

So i'm looking at protection and i think i'll probably go with some Proto slide shorts

but is there a cheaper option? (apart from a sports box/cup)

Next, do you guys feel the need for chest protection if you don't wear a tac-vest?

I play rec-ball in the woods mostly against rentals with semi-98s so i'm not worried too much about being deleted...

I 've got some Dye sliders that I use from time to time- much more comfortable than a cup, and more protection then the padded pants, but they run about $40. I don't know about you, but my stones are certainly worth the money. Never been hit there, but had a few come close enough to where I don't take chances.

I have a brand new pair of dye slider shorts that I'm trying to sell. What is your budget?

No chest protection. Be a man. It's not that bad getting hit.

Cups are plain retarded to run around in and I wear them a lot for other sports.

I wear some compression shorts, and my Proto pants are padded enough. Haven't yet taken a hit there that hurt me. Let you know when the day comes.

I wear camo pants, that's about it. I've been hit in the groin once, luckily it wasn't a direct hit.

I've had a near miss before, since then I have kinda pondered the idea of protecting myself with more then just luck. But I dont really wanna wear a cup. Slide shorts maybe?

I like compression shorts. They're cheap and they make that area more compressed, and harder to hit.

How well do they fit. Is it a comfy or tight feeling?

depends on size, and how aggressive you are as a paintball player.

I am just going to use the omnipat and sweats.

All these defeatist attitudes. I don't plan to get shot anywhere, much less the groin. So far so good... about the groin at least.

I haven't had the honor of having a groin shot yet. I'll just be a man and take the pain.
