I'm trying to find some magazine pouches that can pull double-duty with mag-fed and hopper-fed guns. Will your standard double AK pouch hold pods?

i dont know about ak pouches, but i've gutten some ar-15 Pouches, and they seem to curve enought for pods to fit.

how big are the mags for your ATS? I'm wondering because i think a triple M16 mag pouch will not hold anything bigger than a 100rd pod, and if you're using 140s, i dont know.....if the ATS mags will fit the M16 pouch, that works great, if not, well maybe contact a custom gear person to make an adjustable pouch that can adjust for size irregularities and be able to have a removable flap or section to stick the 140 rd pod through?

EDIT: ok you use a Milsig? i thought you had an ATS?

I do use an ATS mainly, but I use 85s with forward loaders, since the mags are too expensive. I'm buying a new Milsig.

i see. I have a friend who is able to make custom gear, but i'm waiting on him to ship me a box full of stuff lol....one of the ideas we had was a pouch thats able to accomodate various size pods, and maybe we could make it work with milsig mags?

Your right CD... a Triple M4/M16 mag or double AK mag pouch will fit a 100 round pod, not a 140.

old vietnam era M-16 pouches fit 100 round pods very well. not to mention tote an extra 2 pod rockets (grenades) or even nerf rockets.

if i'm understanding what your gun take correctly, then an AK chest rig would fit the bill perfectly.

correction, the first link you posted is 1976 ALICE (all-purpose lightweight individual load carrying equipment) to still being made today by contracts, it is standard issue stuff up until around 2000s, and is still seen in some units that havent transferred 100% to the MOLLE system. I use the ALICE stuff quite alot for my tubes, but they barely fit some 100rd pods, the 32 degree pods wont fit them. the M1967 nylon ammo pouches you probably are thinking of, are the rarer ones, and not as widely issued as the 20 rd ammo pouches
M1967 30 rd ammo pouch

these are the more common :"VN pouches" used for most of the era in VN

Maybe try to find some 308 FAL/CETME/G3 pouches, they might give you a little more room.

sparta. i have a set of german G3 mag pouches..they only fit 1 each pouch....and are much shorter than a 10rd tube. same goes for the FAL pouches and CETME pouches, unless you're using the UK's general purpose pouches, which is slightly larger and will fit a 32 degree pod, but they are bulky and typically made of canvas. so that leaves the AK pouches to try, and if theyre triple, they SHOULD fit 100s, but i dont know about the 140s, though i remember if you could get a triple ak pouch that can hold 3x 45 rd bananas (rpk mags and ak used them too) then that might be long enough to fit a 140, but because of the curvature, it might be difficu;lt
