I'm all for the engineer too. He/she would be the mastermind of his/her scenario team. It would be awesome. The pistoleer or whatever would suck because that person would not be an asset to their team.

I think Grenadier, Javelin, and Tank Crewman should be the new positions. The Grenadier doesn't have to use just grenades, they could have a Grenade Launcher on their gun and carry abunch of normal grenades along ith everything else. The Javelin could be the same way, but instead of the Grenade Launcher, they would carry a Rocket Launcher. This should be it's own position, not added to one of the existing ones, the equipment they would have to carry would be too much to lump on to another position. Tank Crew already has a patch, so they should make an official position out of it.

Well if you look at the options when you list a game it already has Tank Hunter so obviously that is one already...

I like the positions we have now, but if we HAD to make a new one, it should have something to do with "the blade" as our current positions do: Sabre, dagger, broadsword....

If we have a new one, something like "Longsword" wouldn't be bad.

I like medic, obviously it wouldn't be a combat position, but if they have a RazorBack position, why not a medic.

I'd go for a special tactics guy that is hybrid of an engineer and grenadier. I think that would be unique enough position and make that person busy enough to be worthy of full spot.

There should also be a spot in there for the full time ref's to be recognized. After all they are just as important as any other guy.

I'm voting Javelin. There is no other position which has been as widely recognized than the javelin. It's true that they already have a tanker position, so there's no need for that, and the idea of hybrid positions takes things a bit far. The idea behind positions is giving large teams the ability to act efficiently by having certain people fulfill certain roles. The only role which is combined with others is that of commander, who leads but also follows a certain combat position.

Medic, pistoleer, and Javelin.

Those would be my 3 additions. I know several people that only take pistols out there. Its more common than you might think.

You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last night, or that you got a ticket on the way there...your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it..

How the hell could you stop me? Why in the world would you try? I go hard forever that's just how I'm designed, that's just how I was built.

I think it would be cool to have engineers, but it would be kind of hard (if the field owner will even let you) to build a trench during a game...

I have a question. How would you have a medic? If you get hit your out. Are you suggesting that a medic can wipe it off or something? Or am I missing something?

Although it would be fun to set up a little scenario game at our field with a medic on each team...

I'd throw my votes for Tank Hunter, Tank Crew, and Heavy Ordinance.

Heavy Ordinance is basically the non-marker specialist... mines, grenade launchers, mortars, and various other non-paintball gun toys.

I suppose HO sort of fits with Grenadier, but I think the term Grenadier is potentially misleading because they can use other weapons besides grenade/grenade launchers.

Why not a "communications specialist" someone who can interpret all of the info and pass it onto the Commander. They have used them since the revolutionary war... they were the courriers, now we have a guy in modern combat running around with a radio strapped to his back... seems to me that if they have been around this long they are useful.

Engineering Sgt is a special forces type position. They are responsible for demolitions, land navigation, and sabotage... so I think Engineer would be great...

Last should be some sort of Law Rocket type person for the "anti tank" aspect. Even though in the 3 years I've been playing I have NEVER played against a tank lol. It could be fun.

For those of you who say "MEDIC" take a long hard look at the BASICS to the way the game is played. Medics have no place in the game.

I like the Commando. This could envelope the tank hunter, and engineer. Commandos are esentially special forces, but in smaller groups. Let's face it, every team has those one or two guys that always take on the hardest challenges, and do things that much larger groups could not do.

The medic is a good position patch. Medic do have a place on the field in scenario play, and in real combat. Ask any Marine if they were glad to see their Corpsman when they were hit and you will get a affirmative answer. (for those that don't know Corpsman are medical personnel supplied by the Navy, and as Chesty Puller said "are the best in the business")

As far as the third patch goes, I really have no idea. Maybe pilot? Scenario players have helo's and they also have people that pilot those Helos. Could also maybe be spy or counter intellegence. Something along those lines.

That's my two cents.
