I'm a bit lost as to how this works. As it stands, I have a BT-4 and an Angel IR3, both with Freak Barrels, yet the Tippy, well known for being a loud-DUMPER gun, is quieter than the Angel. But I want the Angel Quiet too, so I need some help lowering its volume. Any idea's?

Really now? I would assume a gun costing 4 digits would be quiet. Try a barrel with lots of porting.

Yeah, because price has a lot to do with the sound signiture of a gun. :dodgy:

You might try a carbon fiber barrel, they usually quiet any gun down some.

A stiffi etc...

I know Etecks are really loud. So most likely its just the gun. Noting you can do.

the ion is a spool valve marker that makes it quiet. I know that poppit vlavles (timmys, egos, nerves, imps) are louder. I am not sure what a angle is though if it is a poppit that is why it is so loud.

It will be loud if your input pressure is up too far. dont forget that dwell and pressure are inverse. one goes up the other must go down.
Higher pressure, lower dwell: better efficiency, louder, less consistent, rough on brittle paint.
Lower pressure, higher dwell: Worse efficiency, quieter (to a point then it goes up in extreme cases), gentler on brittle paint

So you may find that it has been tuned for higher presure, try adjusting the dwell/pressure balance, plus its not like Angels have bad efficiency.

And as far as High Ends not being loud, try being close to some one with an ego (esp an '07)...........

tune your lpr? Any "high end" gun well almost any can be tuned to be quiet its not that hard its all about sweet spotting your regs.

Egos cost 4 digits but they're still frickin' cannons

I have. My teammate owns a 2k6 Speed. I would say that it's a bit quieter than a Tippy, but not much.

Freaks barrels do have a lot of porting, btw.
