IMO, a Broadswrod provides covering fire for his teammates.....

They would most likely play back - cover for the guys up front. I would never confine yourself to just "broadsword" (or any other position) - paintball equipment has the ability to play any position the user is comfortable with. The Specops positions are great when you are on a team that is into it and want to organize things, but versatility and the ability to adapt to any situation should take priority over image.

As far as equiptment being used for anything yes thats true but it will not nessacerially be comfortable. I thought we would be playing woodsball so I ended up having to play speedball with a stock on my gun.

A broadswrod would play back normally. Not because the positions are almost the same, more so because the people that usually play as a "broadsword" are usually willing to lay the fire into people and are used to holding a lane better then someone like a "sabre" or a "dagger". The people that play dagger and sabre are used to doing more flanking and running up into the frontlines. So they will normally play front or mid.

Well, In the woods, The Broadsword is a guy who provides covering fire, in speedball a back player provides covering fire.
Broadsword is smiliar to Back position since both are laying down the hammer and helping the team.

well as an a-5 owner i get to point out the fact that i have done this before i just play back with all my same gear execpt my stock and remote and you ask why i brag about beeing an a-5 owner is the quick strip pins just pop out the pins and off with the stock then just run the 02 off the gun i enjoy this because when a speedballer talks smack off comes the stock :P
