A lot of posts deal with the Tac-one and Ion or Tac-one and Phantom, but neither put equally priced markers together.
I have been using a phantom with L-stock and vary small CA back bottle (not exactly sure what size, somewhere between a 9oz and 4oz CO2 tank) with a stock breach. It works excellently for my primary position (sniper) except for one nuisance, rock and cock. Every time I load a ball (except when aiming down hill) I have to unseat the stock and raise the back end of the marker up so the paintballs will roll into the breach (I shoot prone). Sometimes this motion gives away my location. The only way I know to fix this without a hopper in my way is to buy a Semi.

I stumbled upon the Tac-one Longbow when it came out and liked the design, but the price was too high. A few weeks ago I found the Ion Longbow/Q-bow, which I could afford, but Iím unsure of how it compares to my Phantom and of the durability of an electro. I am primarily concerned with Durability, Quietness, Consistency/accuracy, Low profile/clear sighting, and Weight. The Ionís ROF is of little concern to me. I would be using a Stiffi on it unless someone sways me in another direction. I have no experience with electros and little with mechs outside of pistols.

Note: I will not be able to buy the whole Blackcell kit at once.

Any other suggestions as to how to fix my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Just raise your shoulder up instead of pointing down. Go slow. Also you can fire two shots before having to rock it because it sits on top of the bolt. Just go slow, and wait till all the commotion dies down to cock it unless you need to shoot.

Thanks Headshot, Iíll try that. I had a feeling you would show up here. If it works Iíll save my money up for the Tac-One, or the long promised Longbow Magazine for the Phantom (if it ever comes out).
I know you can fire two shots before you move I just described it that way for simplicities sake.

So you think the Ion Longbow would be a downgrade?

The Tac-One is beyond my budget and as far as I know the Blazer has no way to avoid the center feed and place a sight on it.

Edit: just found out how to switch it to a side feed, know of a way to attach a sight.

When you order a Blazer you can request a right or left-feed.

It has a dovetail sight rail milled into the body on top. Sight bolts on if is a 38" dovetail mount, or get a dovetail to picatinny/weaver rail adapter if you sight uses that mounting system.

Actually for a phantom if you just lean it down just a hair and pump it slowly you wont move that much. The only problem is you dont want to double feed. Best thing I can think to tell you is when I did this I turned the marker kind of sideways when I pointed down. This slowed down the roll of the balls and you could catch pull the pump handle back to the shooting position before the second ball rolled in. But you have to be careful and practice. Because if you look down too long it could be your biggest mistake.

But I have seen alot of ions and never one that was too quiet. Phantom is one of the quietest markers I know. A 14" cci barrel and you will be impressed. It seems loud until you put a mask on. A lighter gun with a smaller profile, cheaper on the wallet. Cant be beat.

the longbow is extremely heavy compared to most markers, but you get used to it after a while

I have a springfeed and I still rock and cock it. What is worse I get to play with a semi awhile back and I would shoot one shot then tilt it down and shoot one more shot and kept doing that till my friend was laughing so hard he couldnt shoot. After that I had to give it back to him and grab my phantom.

I am actually going to sale my punisher springfeed since I never use it.
