I'm looking to buy the tac one marker and want to upgrade it myself. I want to set it up similar to the qbow but use a regular hopper feed and hakko red dot sight. My question is can I use the air thru stock w/shroud and use an electronic hopper along with the hakko sight? By looking at the pictures, the shroud would cover the top rail where the sight would be mounted. On the qbow, it appears that there is an addition rail that can be mounted on top of the shroud.

You can mount rails on any longbow shroud. Not just the qbow.

If you put a hopper on the centerfeed though, you wont be able to use the sight very well...

Thanks tenacious. So even with the sight on top of the shroud, the hopper will obstruct the view through the sight? What would your recommendations be for maybe keeping the sight off and using without?

Well the center feed hopper will block the sight if its on TOP of the shroud, but if you put is off to the side, it'll be more clear. Thats a really big offset though...

Tool - won't I still have the problem of the hopper being in the way? Do you know if special ops carries the 6" JCS weaver rail? I didn't see it.

you said you were putting on a hakko sight.
Thats a $160 sight!! I know its good but geez.buy something that would have more of a significant performance
effect.Oh, and you might be able to find that weaver rail on another site
so look around,SpecOps doesnt have every little thing but they come very close.

ALL I SAID BEFORE I EDITED THIS POST WAS STUPID BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU WERE TALKING
ABOUT THE JT TAC-5.SORRY ABOUT THAT BRAIN FART,I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING FUNNY ABOUT
THE UPGRADES YOU WERE DISCUSSING. THE TAC-1 IS AWSOME.IV HAD THE HONOR OF SHOOTING ONE.
TOO BAD IT WAS ONLY LIKE 20 SHOTS.

The Tac-One is an amazing mechanical marker. There are not many mechs that can even compare to it. Now, granted, I would never spend $160 on a sight, but that's just me. Thank you ADCO. Anyway, unless you get like, two offset mounts, I don't see your idea working.

Thanks for all the replies. It appears that I need to do one of two setups.
1. Create the qbow completely.
2. Tac one, stiffi, electric hopper, air thru stock w/shroud (and wait on the electro sight)

I was debating on the Hakko but I did find this for about $120 from a sight and scope web site. I am still considering a red dot for half this price though.
