Hey guys I need some help here. I am in the market for buying a new marker in 400 (maybe a little more) dollar range. At first I was thinking UL'd PMR, then I heard good things about the G3 and now I'm looking at the F8. I need some help or recommendations. I could use some suggestions personal experience all that good stuff. I might be gone for a while but I will back later on tonight so please post away. I would like to order my marker as soon as possible so speedy replies would be awesome.

I personally liked the g3 better than the f8. If you are down to those two markers I recremend going to a field/shop and testing them out. Both F8 and G3 are revilently equal. Its all about how they feel in your hands. Also you might look into a Used timmy but watch out for scammers if you purchase it online. Imo i'd stay away from the ul'd pmr Ive seen lots come through the shop with much damage.

Well I don't normally like to buy used (especially over the internet ). I am considering the dangerous power guns but not limited to them if there is another marker you would like to suggest I am open to it.

If your not satisfied with the dp guns you could save up a couple houndred dollars and buy a etek2 for 675.00

But all in all you would be most comfortable with the g3 if you are comming from the ion. They are almost the same size and shape but the g3 outperforms it by alot depending on how upped your ion is.

The sp eos isnt to bad i guess, its pretty much a big brother of the ion... It seems to be a decent marker if you compare it to the g3 or f8.

Get a mini and spent the rest on a decent loader? Or you could get a PM7 on clearance if look around.

I persomnally love my Fusion (F7). But, there are many great markers in this price range. The minis are nice, F8s, F7s, G3s, Timmys, older Egos, Eteks, Cockers, and Mags. I'm sure I'm missing some. Do you want a certain brand? I'm going to assume you want an electro too. But, try as many as you can obviously and then make a descion.

well, i swear by my F8, and would recocmend it in a heartbeat to anyone over anything else for its simplicity, size cost, and sheer gnralyness. the g3 is very close from what i hear. the mini, well, i have mixed feelings about those. ALOT of my friends who play own one, but i notice they get jealous when the minis act up and my f8 is shooting like a champ with practically no maintenance. but thats personal experience.

i think that spending mroe than 500 bucks on a marker is a bad idea, because they all break eventually, and there's always something new coming out. not to mention upgrades you might like. the f8 performs jsut as well as alot of markers that are twice to 3 times more expensive, and can be fixed at home without a tech, or having to send it off, unless something is extremely wrong. not to mention the ease of 4 dipswitches to change modes and firing rates.

like i said, i will give props to f8's all day long, because it is the first speedball marker that gives me what i truly want.... reliability. but to each his own, and i hope you test all your choices thoroughly. it all comes down to what YOU want and like, not me. i'm just suggesting what in my experience is one of the best inventions since sliced bread.

Buy like 2 or 3 nice 'Cockers on Ebay. Seriously, there are some GOOD deals on 'Cockers recently.
A couple I saw were absolutely B-E-A-TIFUL.

Great choice, you wont regret it. what color are you getting? I like the dark earth or whatever its called... It really brings out the detail and milling from the marker.

I think Doro Paintball has one of the best prices for an F8 right now... at $399.99

Oh thanks for the link but I already ordered it from paintball genie where it's 49.99 more but it's on the way so I'm still happy. I ended up getting brown(which kind of looks more like gold/bronze to me).

(not mine)
