I've never wiped a hit.
But I have played on a few times. Not intentionally, but it's happened.
I got shot in the front, dead center, of my Pinokio. I was tucked so tight in to the bunker, I didn't notice. Had a dozen guys shooting at me, so I wasn't able to move much.
Hear a guy yelling to check my hopper, so I'm checking the sides as best I can without sticking out too much. Don't see anything, keep shooting, hit a couple guys and THEY don't go out (as well they shouldn't), so I just shoot them more.
Finally a ref shows up and calls me out. I'm asking him where, and he tells me to look at the front of my hopper. The ball hit, and all the paint stayed on the front. With the splatter they were making off the bunker, I didn't notice.
I walked over to the guys I was shooting and apologized. After talking to them for a minute, they understood the issue. That's why I love scenario. Most the people are pretty cool.
We put our glass to the sky and lift up. And live tonight 'cause you can't take it with ya. So raise a pint for the people that aren't with us. And live tonight 'cause you can't take it with ya...
