I have seen the Chronos on the different paintball websites and for the most part they are a little high. If you go to a sporting goods site or store you can usually get a firearm rated one for around $80-100. THey go plenty low enough to test paintball guns and usually come with a carrying case and a warranty. ANd since they are benchtop models they you can get through a lot more players than you can with a handheld model.

my friends and i caught that as well when we were looking into getting one for our field... we now have three handhelds...
