is it ok to use 10w-40 to lubericate the internels of Tippmann's and BT markers?

I dont own a Tippman, but Im pretty sure that would be bad....something about petroleum degrading the o-rings. I'd stick with the silicone or D-33 based lubes just to be safe.

it's not a big deal to get those lubricants, just go to your local hardware store. If you already put the oil in your gun, that's not a huge deal either; get your instruction manual out and write down the part numbers of all the o-rings inside the gun. then just call Tippmann and ask for replacements. more often than not, they'll mail them for free. Also if you used the oil already, immediately take the gun apart and clean it off of everything to prevent the degrading.

We used wd40 at the field I worked at(it wasn't a great field, and I didn't not like using it, but our boss was a cheap bastard) and the guns worked all the time...

Not that I would recommend doing it...
