I can see the argument about carrying the hopper, but I can see it still being a "challenge" with just the longbow rig.

Why is the Tac One longbow "ok" but this "makes no sense?"

Same idea.

Your right, I guess we never really had a chance to rip on the Tac.
Hey baby, wanna come over to myspace so i can twitter your yahoo till I google all over your facebook?

well its becuase I ripped on them usuing the Automag way back when.
The Longbow system would go MUCH better with a older valve, because the X-valve is only consistant the faster you shoot it. when you sporatically shot, the Fluctuation is like 10-15FPS every time, get it up to 10 BPS and your looking at +/- of 1 or 2.

Plus you could run the 21 round mag with a 12 gram dropout changer, much more lighter set-up. plus I still have not seen someone do that.

Soon to come.

As for the whole "Why" question....the Longbow set up is designed to be light, low profile, and have a clear line of sight down the barrel. These are considerable advantages to certain styles of play. The limited paint also adds a certain degree of challenge. A high end electro also has many more benefits besides just being fast, and why shouldn't a player be able to enjoy those other benefits just because they're not necessarily looking for the speed at that moment.

And by getting into a jam I don't mean that you simply come up against a tough player or a small group. I play a ton of scenario games...and it's not uncommon to run across groups of 30-50+ players at certain games. In situations like this, it's nice to be able to switch back to a traditional hopper.

Even if you don't switch in the game though, most players enjoy different styles of play from time to time...and with this I can play one style for a little while and then in between games, switch it out easily to play a different style.

Nice MO. I like. Alot. Yeah it doesn't have the visual continuity of the Ion & TacOne versions, kinda looks stuck on. But, I assume the extra part you speak of solves that. I think being able to switch between the mag & hopper without much effort is great.

QFT - being consistent, quiet & efficient are all positives that can be applied to slower rof as well.

Good to see you guys releasing new products in soft & hard goods!

Exactly, I bought a Borg just for that reason. Speed did not influence my purchase one bit... and I just got my pocket hopper for it in the mail today.

As for the Longbow, how does the Longbow receiver actually attach to the marker? I've never seen one in person.

Huh. Just when I thought my G3 couldn't get any lighter! :(

Personally, I think I'd rather run bottle-on-gun if I get this feeder. It's the same length as a stock, and no remote coil to get tangled up on a passing branch, but everything is personal preference.

Regarding the G3 being a quiet marker, I wouldn't go that far. It's definitely the loudest spool-valve gun I ever shot. If you want a super-quiet electro, a well-tuned Ion is ridiculously quiet. Anyway, I think my classic valve ULE Automag is quieter than my G3.
