Put this on the old A5 and thought, "hmm..sure does look pretty nice ." Sighting through the front sight you can tell it was well thought out as the shape conforms to the sight ring. hard to explain. It holds a few more rounds than the standard hopper , exactly how many I don't know. Profile is a little lower as well .
One thing I did notice is it makes a bit more noise than the standard hopper and the lid is clear . Yup you can hear those balls rattling . However, there is a lining or a "stealth" / "sniper" version of this hopper (lining installed) .Forgot what they call it.
Game day ,,, let's see if the "deflection technology" works . Well it does . I peeled around a corner trying to pull a flanking run when I ran up against a player behind a bunker. I took some cover and peeked out . His first shot hit the hopper and deflected up and away from my head . I put a few rounds on his position while my teammate charged him. He fired again ,same thing. Deflected up and away . Neither broke . He then was eliminated. The player commented on the deflections,he seemed a little puzzled and we had a good laugh .
for 12-15 bucks this is a nice hopper for an A5 or cyclone equipped 98.
good : looks , deflection works, few extra rounds, price
bad : little noisy without steath liner . clear lid may give you away in the bush...nothing a shot of spray paint can't fix though.
