Nah, you will be over it in a week or 2. Same thing happens every year for me with track.

Take some ibuprofen. But eat something with it because you will get an upset stomach if you take it on an empty stomach.

not to sound like a jerk but you don't know what sore is until you go through a week of college football 2 a days.

But for soreness what you really want to do is keep moving around. It sounds stupid but if you just leave practice and go sit around the house all day it's just going to make things worse. I'm not saying leave practice and go run 5 miles, just don't sit down for more than 20 minutes at a time then go walk around for a couple minutes even if it's just around the house. Do that for about 4 hours. Make sure you drink a lot of water, I used to drink almost 2 gallons a day during football season. And on top of that, get a good nights sleep. And if you can get your hands on some stuff called Tiger Balm rub it into your muscles. It's basically really strong Icy/Hot, a REALLY strong Icy/Hot.

"Smells like a BenHAPPY SKIPPING JOYFUL PERSON factory around here." If it works for Eastwoods recon jarheads, might work for you. lol Honestly though, the only thing you can do is stretch both before and after. Heating pads work sometimes, but that's limited. Get your b/f to give you a massage.

Edit- Oh for the love of... there are times when this filter thing is out of control!

I say woman up, like Billy Bob said try football 2 a days. He played/plays college ball. Im only still in high school. But try getting hit by a dude that weighs 315 lbs and see what ways you can realy bend. Not to mention hours of just crashing into people. Then you take a couple hours brake and then hit more people, push sleds that seem to weight 1'000 lbs around and then wrap it up with cross hairs which is just more hitting realy. I bet you would discover a new kind of sore. But I do love playing volleybal, I take it for P.E. every other semester almost. Im not putting you down just givin you that extra little bit of anger or UMF or GRRR, how ever you wanna put it. Thats what anyone needs in times like this. Now your ready for another 3 hours of crazy stretches and smashing balls. Volley balls that is of course.

haha...Football isn't the most physically demanding sport there is...try 7 hours of swim practice a day for a week.

3 hour practice, then another practice later in the day.. Including running the football stadium for 30 mins, lifting, running, dry deck workouts, then swimming, sprints, etc etc. After 2 weeks of that, then its just a nice calm 4 hour practice a day.. which includes lifting, running, then pool time. Hypoxic workouts for the loss... 100 meters, 2, 4, or 5 breaths of air per 100 meters, pending on what lap set you are on. usually that was for 1k meters. On avg, its about a 5 mile swim per day, plus whatever dry deck stuff..every muscle is used in swimming,.. in a national study, swimming, and wrestling were the TOP TWO most physically demanding sports, for muscle usage, muscle demand, physical exertion, etc etc. You think its bad running hard or so in football for a bit..atleast you can breathe.. try having your lungs be on fire and only breathe 2-4 times per 100 meters...until you get used to it, it feels like your lungs are going to explode...and the more you kick, move your arms, etc, the faster that air is used...i
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry to hi-jack the thread there..but anyhow, just get a good stretch after each practice, and just hydrate yourself. Don't hop yourself up on meds like tylenol or anything, because you can get accustomed them and eventually will begin to hinger your performance. Thats all there to it really.

Absorbine jr or BenHAPPY SKIPPING JOYFUL PERSON.

Robaxacet is what I use for sore muscles since it contains pain relieve and muscle relaxant.

Now if you are over the age of 21 I can recommend some other "medicinal" cures.
