Well I was offered the opportunity to buy an 06 burnt orange Macdev Cyborg. There were only 10 of these made. I have shot it before and I loved it. I knew I wanted it before I knew much about Cyborgs. What do you guys think about this marker? Any recommendations on upgrades (if any)? And the biggest question, how much is this marker worth? He wasn't sure what to sell it for, he was mainly asking if I would be interested and that he would get back to me.

I love my borg, and I'm not even required to say so!

Get it, I would if I was in your position. My 06 is like my baby.
Still misses DoN ;_;

You don't really have any upgrade options... because Borgs don't really need it. You can get new bolts that perform no better than stock. You can get new regs that perform no better or worse than stock. The MacDev Matchstick barrel is amazing. The stock board is phenomenal. Basically, leave it as it is, because it's already nearly perfect :P. I love my 06 Borg.

I wouldn't go over about $500 for it, especially since the new Cyborg is coming out in a month and the price is going to drop further on the 06. While it's one of my favorite annos, the anno rarely adds much to a marker's value so you're probably looking at closer to $400.

As far as upgrades are concerned, Z3r0's pretty spot on. New triggers are a matter of personal preference and nothing else. New boards are fine if you want some extra settings etc. but the Predator code in the 06 is great. Only other thing you "might" want is a clamping feedneck but unless you plan on removing your loader on the field, the allen-wrench locking feedneck is really solid.

If you want, PM me your phone number and when is ok to call you. I'd be more than happy to help out a friend.

The cost part was what I really wanted to know. I am still new to high end markers so I definitely need help to not get ripped off. I was able to find one for sale back in June on PBnation that was going for $650, haven't been able to search pbnation to find it again (i hate their search). He doesn't really know the value of it, so he's doing his research too. I just want to know what you all think it's worth so I have something to use to bring his price down (I'm sure he's thinking it's worth more than it really is).

Well, I disagree with ThirdI's price estimate.

I could not sell my '07 for $400 right now if I tried.

An '06 will go for $250 to $300 now depending on condition. A limited run color like that should pull $350 in mint shape.

I have been watching them recently...the guns asking $400 just are not selling...they are force to lower their costs or trade up with cash to get a respectable price.

The gun is worth every dime you pay for it no matter!

Here is a great cost research tool...Buy-sell-trade listings.

Awesome site, Krazy8. Elitedealseeker does about the same thing but for whatever reason it's been acting up for me lately - giving me error messages on occasion and whatnot.

I'd say don't pay any more than $400 for the 06 no matter what you do. I paid $510 for mine almost a year ago, but that was normal pricing then. Now, the price has naturally depreciated from that $500 since it's been a year, and with the next Borg coming out in about a month, it's going to be even harder to sell older Borgs for that kind of price.
