I am having some issues with my e-grip on my A-5. When i pull the e-grip off it fire just fine. When i attach it to the marker it wont fire at all. The manual trigger works just fine when it is installed. I have replaced the batteries as well.

Board failure? I'm guessing you don't have another board to test with. Have you checked all the wire connections? Signs of corrosion on the board?

I don't have another board to test, but with the grip off the marker I can program fine and use all modes of fire. New battery and wires aren't pinched or corroded. Once attached, the trigger/solenoid will fire once but nothing after ... Not even the solenoid tries to fire. The mode I have has the WAS board and worked fine before the battery change.

Program the board when it's on the marker. You probably have it in 98c mode. You need the trigger installed and resting on the microswitch for A5 set up.

Went to a local PB store and found out that I am missing the rare earth magnet below the solenoid. Guess I am going to try to find one or order one.

The first gen WAS boards didn't have the magnet.

Yeah you shouldn't Need the magnet... i'm pretty sure the sear pushes the solenoid back in place when the gun re cocks anyways.

If you can hear the noid clicking, but the gun isn't shooting i'd try 2 things. Fresh good quality battery (I always use duracells), if that doesn't work, try upping the dwell on your board. I remember when i used to have my tippmann 98, i decided to mess with the dwell for some reason (I don't know why there even is a dwell setting on these boards), and it wouldn't shoot 90% of the time until i reset the dwell to stock.

The dwell for that board increases the current to the noid.
