Tough Mudder, Spartan Beast, Gladiator Run, Warrior Dash, Terrain Run etc........
Talk about them here!

I got started last year when me & several members of my paintball team ran in a Tough Mudder event...a 12 mile trail run with 25 military obstacles along the way, including ice water & electric shocks...and of course MUD. Since then I have become addicted...ran in Gladiator Run (4.5 mile) this spring and did another Tough Mudder - this time at high altitude in Tahoe.....already training for next season, I run about 15 mile a week & will go for a hlf marathon in Big Sur next year.

My wife thinks Ive gone insane...

2 years ago I was full time smoker who ate like crap & weighed 40 lbs more than I do now. Needless to say I feel ALOT better these days. Plus, there has been a dramatic & noticeable improvement in my paintball play... .

..from July, Tough Mudder Tahoe

I'd do it, but I'm in such bad shape it'd kill me.

The one gym I pass on the way to work is offering Tough Mudder prep classes. The first day I saw that I thought about you. lol It looked like a blast!

I have done a tough mudder and I am working towards spartan race. I could definitely do it now but my team and I are trying to go for a good time not just completion.

Ive been wanting to do one for a couple of years now. Last year I missed out on it due to a temporary deployment. Haven't looked to see if there are any down here in FL, yet.

Besides running, what else do you do to prep for one?

Kinda burnt on them because of all the annoying repetitive ads on Facebook.

Looks hellas fun though.

A little bit of everything...lots of running obviously, but some general weight lifting/bodyweight workouts & alot of core conditioning is helpful. I also found that StairMasters are great prep for all the hills...

I don't run because it makes me tired...
My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.
