Why would you replace your MR1? I love my MR1, and I have a Tac-One and an Autococker to boot.

it will not come with a rechargeable battery, it will come with a battery which is often dead (and if its not it sucks so you might as well buy a new one anyway)

i really dont know anything about rechargeable batteries since i use Duracell or energizer anyway

I just bought my 2nd SP-1 (for my son) a week ago. SmartParts solved the bad battery problem with a sticker on the box that indicates 'battery not included'.

Normal Energizer batteries work fine.. You can buy a pack of 6 for $9 at lowes..

Work hard, play hard.. In that order.

Good luck finding a rechargeable 9volt. Plus, unless you already have the charger, a charger that will charge them is $20 w/out any batteries. That's 12 batteries for just the price of the charger.

Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against rechargables (I have a slew of AAs) but the 9volts are hard to come by as are the chargers. Some good ol' duracells or energizers should be just fine!

Agreed, Energizer and Duracell are the only decent batteries for it.

The Radio Shack (the Source) brand batteries, whatever they're called, worked for about as long as Duracells do in my Mini... and I think they're also cheaper than Duracells by a little bit, if you can find them. Other than those, I only use Duracells from a good store. Don't buy them from the dollar store, they're probably old and weak. BestBuy, Circuit City, Future Shop, the Source, heck even Wal-Mart batteries are still strong.
