Ok here we go. Two of my buddies have MR1's and the other has and Extra. We've read the instructions on how to adjust the velocity but we are unable to adjust them below 300 fps. Has any one had this problem and could offer some advice.
Thanks
Jimmy

If they are brand new guns than the springs need to be worn in ... If not, just turn the screw all the way out and see what happens. If worst comes to worst, drop 20$ and grab a spring kit.

Cut the spring a little bit shorter.

If you're a Christian paintballer put this in your sig.

Leaving it cocked I hadn't thought about that one. I don't want to cut the springs just yet but I might. I am going to look at spring kits. Thanks guys.

DON'T CUT the SPRING!!! I've seen many of people do it and all of them have adverse effects, like not even being able to get to 270 FPS and they only cut off 1/2 a coil from the spring.

Yeah... thinking physics would disagree with you there. By cutting the spring, you relieve pressure from the spring, having the opposite effect of what's desired here.

If you want to do things right, get the spring kit from Spyder...it has two different springs (blue and white) and some O-Rings for rebuilding the marker. The blue is suppose to be a higher velocity spring and the white a lower but you may find they are just the opposite (I dont know if Spyder mis prints the package or what but thats the reality is the white actually ran markers at 250-300 and the blue 190-275)

Choose the rignt spring and you can hit any velocity you want.

6 or 7 hours isn't that bad, I've left mine cocked for 3 or 4 days and its fine, I still fire hot actually.
