Why not use plumber's tape (teflon tape) instead of paper? I mean, the paper is cool, but teflon is waterproof.

The tape wouldn't work in mine. The clearance is so rediculously tight that a tiny less than 1/4 inch squar piece of paper made it so tight it was really difficult to remove. Tape would be way too thick. Besides, there's so many holes for water to get into a paintball gun it wouldn't mater if you did teflon it. If water proofing is really what you're after.

Suffice it to say, don't drop your gun a puddle.

No need for water proofing when I have a .68mm hole at the end :)

Seriously though, teflon won't work for me hear.

Teflon is thinner than paper, isn't it? It's made to go between threads on pipes..which is basically what barrels are..... And I only mentioned waterproofing for cleaning purposes. Y'know, swab out your barrel and the paper gets soggy.....Teflon doesn't sog. :D

I know....but between the barrel and the threads, right? I know it won't work on the plastic pipe...but on Ship's wiggly barrel?

Yeah but with teflon you have to go around the barrel a couple times, would probably add up to more than just that one tiny piece of peper on side of the barrel...

If I have any laying around I'll give it a try though...

On any threaded objects. I use it a LOT for work, anywhere from high pressure lines, to PVC piping under houses( there is pipe teflon too, its thicker)

You could use it on the threaded part, if you wanted. Not sure why though. If oyu have loo threads, you have more issues than just needing to tighten up your barrel.

Are we even on the same page hear??

Wouldn't you like to know ;)

Haha! Jacks right though, The A-5 flatline doesn't have threads. This is inbetween the barrel adapter and the socket it fits into...

Not quite. Ship said he'd used paper to tighten the threads on his barrel. If I read him correctly. That's why I suggested the teflon tape. :D But this was a very amusing crosswire conversation.
