Well im not going to use a .45 on a possum or coon, or snake...a bird shot shell does the job

Hmm, but what are some good, not to expensive .45 colts to look at?, i like the revolver style

How much is not too expensive?

Ruger offers the Blackhawk in .45 Colt

As well as the Vaquero

I'm pretty sure Taurus has some reasonable ones, but I can't seem to get their website to work right now. Strange.

Ruger used to make their GP100 double action revolvers in .45 Colt. You might be able to find one used in your price range.

Personally, I think .357 Magnum Rugers (GP100 and SP101) are some of the best designed DA revolvers on the market. I'd take one over a comparable S&W any day. Only S&W I'd want is the Model 25 or 625 Mountain Guns in .45 Colt or one of the 8 shot .357 Magnum wheelguns.

Or you could just get a classy Single Action Army replica from someone like Cimarron.

Do I need to sell you on .357 Magnum?

Just ordered a Ruger Sr9c off of their website, brushed steel with the 17 rd capacity. Finally going to have something small enough to actually carry around concealed.

Something about that sounds off . . .

*checks stats*

Oh, okay. 10 rounds in the flush mag, 17 in the extended grip one. I knew they didn't make a gun that small that held 17 rounds on 9mm.

I haven't actually held the 17rd one, but I took a look at the 10 rd at my local gunstore. I had to order it online, because my local gunstore has insane prices. They wanted 650 for one with a laser, and you can buy them new for 525 off of ruger's website. Also I have never owned a gun that I could carry concealed, my glock is just too damn big, and I was wondering who made quality holsters. I'm looking for something that I can carry in the small of my back, and I would prefer it to be nylon. Any suggestions?

Why small of the back?

It's a fairly slow draw compared to other options. I highly recommend AIWB over SOB any day.

And a Glock isn't that hard to conceal.

Nylon? May I ask why? I usually prefer leather, and then Kydex.

Leather is too hot and sticky against your skin, and I am just going to where it under my t shirt. I really think that the small of my back is the only place I could really conceal it, besides my ankle, and I think that would be uncomfortable.

If you want to avoid leather, I'd really recommend kydex.

One of Dale Fricke's holsters would suit you very well.

Dale Fricke and BladeTech are the two most common non-leather holster manufacturers I will recommend.

Walked into Gander Mtn. tonight on a whim. Walked out 30min later with a "used*" Citadel 1911, 3.5" for $414.
