I am working on an mr1 for a friend, and how hard will it be to move the "pull here to cock" (cant think of the word!! sorry) from up top to the side? and could somebody please tell me that word, i cant remember it for anything! thanks

The cocking pin holds the bolt and hammer (bottom bolt) together. You can't really move it to the side.

alright, well thats too bad, it seems to get in the way alot, but oh well. ill figure something out, ill be posting pics of the final product when im done, i had some photoshopped plans of what i wanna do with my mr1, but my laptop died today while i was working on em, but ill post a link to them here when i redo them, you should check it in about two weeks, cause by then i might have the actual gun mods started!

I should correct myself. You have to have a vertical pin in the bolt to attache it to the hammer. Then you can add another cocking pin from the side. Look at the schematics of classic rear cocking Spyders.

Oh wow, good point, i shouldve realized that, the rear thing. hmm. thanks again. i think i know what im gonna do now :rolleyes: :laugh:

To make my MR1 side-cocking, first I halfbacked it. Then I replaced the stock bolt with an alamo city paintball imagine bolt (works perfectly). I replaced the stock striker with one from an older Spyder that has the screw hole for a side cocking rod. I then dremeled a slot in the bottom tube, and used a 10-32 screw as the cocking rod, with a little rubber ring around it to prevent it from moving around too much.
