Way to be stereotypical with the female driver thing...not that I don't agree, I've found that the bus drivers seem to push the limits a little bit, most of them don't seem to like their jobs, but from what I've heard it pays pretty well. From what I've seen though, they also never really seem to do much damage, I mean it's pretty infrequent to hear that they have been in an accident r anything, so they must know what they are doing. I have been on a number of busses that I thought I might crash in though. On another note, greyhound bus drivers that I've had experience with don't always seem the nicest either. I spent about 104 hrs total on a trip to and from yellowstone national trip, 52 hrs each way. One night I was so fast asleep that I fell out of the aisle onto the floor, the busdriver came back ladder and allegedly kicked me to see if I was dead. Now I of coursed didn't even wake up to being kicked or all the talking, I was out. I was also ten years old at this point and this was the second night on the bus. I think that it was more of a gentle prod with the foot, I didn't have a bruise at least, not that I ever bruise.

the bus drivers absolutely ruin my commute to school. they drive so incredibly slow, and if i meet one at a 4-way intersection (my commute is just some backroads in north GA and a little on a highway) and me and the bus driver are at opposite stops signs but turning into the same lane, they will typically run the stop sign just so they will be in front of me, then proceed to drive 15-20 mph slower than the speed limit.

thank god for passing zones, and as said in "the blues brothers" by Jake:
'Our lady of blessed acceleration, don't fail me now!

School bus or city bus?

One of my peeves is when the buggers cut in front of you then stop every 100 ft.

Depending on the city, there could be buses going out to the country. I see city buses all the time, yet the city is about 15 minutes away from me.

ah, I guess I didn't think about that idea, I've only ever seen a bus once out here, and that was because a group rented one for a retreat at a camp.

Would this 50+ be similar to your 40 bps A5?

I have been accused of speeding through our neighborhood by one control freak who lives on a corner. Funny how the police officers who live on the same street never comment, yell, point, or stare when I drive by.

Trying to judge the actual speed of a passing vehicle is a skill that very few people actually have.

Chances are that bus is going far slower than you perceive.

I lul'd.
I never had a problem with my bus drivers. Probably because I would get on the bus and sit there listening to music and not be an annoying little puke. Also, I had some cool drivers. Still play paintball with a couple of them...when I get to play :/

My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

I had one bus driver who could have cared less what we did on the bus, we would walk on the backs of seats, run up and down the aisles, crawl all over the place and beat each other up all the time...it was fun, but eventually I left that school. :(

I am a school bus driver, so you're getting this answer straight from the horses mouth. We're nuts. We deal with screaming children for at least four hours a day, we have to be a little nuts in order to put up with that without bloodshed.

Haha my girlfriend's dad is a city bus driver - yeah, you have to be a little nuts :D

Worst experience I had was towards the end of summer I was coming home on the single lane highway 45 min to get home...

And there's this school bus in front of me....going 20 below the limit. I see it's safe (as in no cars within sight on a straight road) so I floor it because my Sunfire just can't accelerate like a real car...anyways, when I get up beside it, the bus starts gunning it so I CANT pass...I see a car coming so I fall back and promptly take two HUGE rocks to my windshield, my first 2 cracks of the whole season... -_-

He's now 30 below the limit - I try again, with the same result, but only one rock chip. I just fell back 100ft and stayed there for the next hour or so -_-
Then it cost me $30 a chip to fix.
