Alright... I bet when you opened this you were wondering what I meant...

wel, here's the deal. I've owned so many pairs of boots over the years and REALLY tore em up. First in Boy Scouts, then just on my own, rock climbing, (I'd like to say I was a Tomb Raider but no onewould believe me. :dodgy: ) and now... I'm going to the Air Force.

I don't know how... I don't know when.... bu you MUST get these boots.

I only know one way to get 'em... and that's through the Department of Defense. Maybe you can pull some strings and get yourself a pair:

The Bates Infantry Combat Boot with Vibram soles.

HOLY CRAP! Also available in wide sizes (I'm 10.5 wide.... Thank you god) these things are INDESTRUCTIBLE! I don't care WHAT you do to 'em! They wil outlive YOU. Not 100% leather, mostly just around the foot itself. Up the ankle is a 100% waterproof material that will NOT wear out. they take a while to break in, but what good boot doesn't? Get yourself some Dr. Scholl's and start gellin'. you'll be fine.

-Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Peace.

Vibram is the name of the company that makes the sole.

Are you talking about Altama boots or Bellevilles?

So far, out of all the boots I've been issued or bought my favorites are..

Belleville 795 Insultated boots

and

Altama 4156 for normal boots (although when my current boots die I think I will buy Altama 5877 ripple soles)

After that would be Corcoran field boots, Matterhorns, and the clothing sales genaric jungle boots.

I wear Altama boots to play and they are very good and have held up very well despite the fact that I treat them like crap.

Oakley boots >/= Danner boots > Bates boots.

Bates aren't all that great. Mine have just about worn out after a year of use.

Danner boots have a cushioned sole, and have a lifetime warranty. Everyone I know loves them.

Oakleys are insanely comfortable.

Hi-teks are a damn good brand... I've been using them since my boyscouts days... They last a good long time... but I've worn out a few pairs usin' em the way I do... I'm basically playin' parkour out there... if you don't know what that is... youtube it.

Dont pull any strings, just get them at a surplus, you might have to get them used like i did. But you can throw in insoles and there like new. They cost me like 200$ used though.
You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field.. it doesn't matter that you failed a test, that your girlfriend broke up with you last nite, or that you got a ticket on the way there.. your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth.. live it.. love it.. Paintball 4 life..
