I think the backwards tank idea is a good one. I have one suggestion to make it a little better, two words Drop Forward. It will balance the gun outmore.

An alternative to flipping the tank outright (but require more work) would be to convert the marker configuration to ditch the pistol grip and go to something more in the direction of an M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, M14, or M1903 Springfield and mount the tank, angled, under the grip area so as to locate the CG as desired (similar to what used to be done with some of the pumps in the late 1980s/early 1990s). It doesn't alter the overall "height" of the entire marker by much if done correctly as the grip is flatter than on a literal pistol grip and may, in fact, allow for a slightly "shorter" profile when prone, depending upon the execution of the mod. For such an old topic, this is still quite a relavent question as obtaining an optimal balance to the marker while keeping weight reasonable is going to have a measurable effect upon your mobility and the easy with which you can keep quiet while moving.

I've flipped my tank and I'll never go back. The gun is balanced much closer to its center than before when it was back heavy. It is more compact, thus making me slightly more mobile. Its compactness allows for me to squeeze in behind incredibly small bunkers and still be able to get shots off at insane angles. (THANKS WARP FEED!) There is no need for a stock, as I can get the gun right up against my body and have my left hand under the tank for stabilzation a few inches from my body, as opposed to running a stock or rear tank where my left hand would be on a foregrip more than a foot in front of me.

Here's the pic goodness:

SWEET

I can only surmise that the people who voted that it was stupid or not viable for woodsball play have not played with a gun set up like this. I play only woodsball and run all my markers (all 'mags) like this.

Agreed

you could get the http://www.specialopspaintball.com/shop/pr...&CAT=109201 or you can save up and get a gun that is easier to customize.
That's what I want to get
and get a remote

Why?

y do that when u could just use a remote and then it lightins the gun up and it balances the same

No it dose not remotes take the tank off instead of using the tank to balance the marker.

Tank drivers are a unique bunch: part motorhead, part airsmith, part driver and part sadist... and not always in equal parts.
