Just dont worry about things like jerseys and getting a huge roster together that will almost always kill a team.

If you have 3 guys that are solid then just get a same color longsleeve, maybe go as far to get it lettered. The more you play at fields you will meet people and expand team. Thats the best way to keep something that lasts and is fun for everyone.

Where would I even get long sleeves like that? I like the ones vicious has and the exalt practice jerseys...

I personally like the nation more than this forum....I talk with all my team mates on there. I can see upcoming events in my state. Free agents thread is great for teams looking for players. And pretty much all the legit teams post up tryout threads on there.

being legit is not about what you wear or how you look ... its about how well you play

improve your your game and the rest will take care of itself ... youll find others will want to look like you because you are the player with skillz .... not because you are the guy that looks good but gets shot out first in every game

Yea. Kind of tooting my own horn, but when I started playing tourney I looked like a nubcake but i drilled a lot and people noticed. Then I got on a d3 team and after traveling and practicing ive accumulated free or cheap stuff via friends.

Becoming a "local" helps a lot too because the refs and other players will help you

Yup being at your field every week helps to get your name and your team noticed.

ive ben playing in a leauge at my local place and have gotten a lot beter. before we were losing like crazy and now we finished in second place, losing the champs by a malfunction. it was actually my hopper which stoped working. i have a invert halo too which ive ben using for about 2 years. schools out and my familyy is thrilled my grades so i can get a new hopper. my one friend has a rotor the other has a prophecy. i have used the prophecy before and really liked it. the rotor was nice but theres somethin about it that i dont like. next the pinokio comes into play. im a big fan of TechPB and thats mikes favorite hopper, so it must be decent. i play speedball, woodsball, and im about to convert my stock class into an open class. i use a G3 Spec-r. money is not an issue, im just torn between the 3, what do u think i should get and why

I have Owned and used all three hoppers you mention.

And of them I still have the Rotor.

The Proph was grumpy. I did not buy the RF kit...so the reception was set so high it liked to go of around louder guns than mine. Then a team mate bought another PRoph and he did buy the RF. Ended up that his RF matched frequencies with many other Proph owners and his would run everytime they fired within 30' of him. Pushed me away from it.

The Pinochio. I must admit that there is nothing like having 400 rounds in the hopper for a long rope! Most players have built a feeling for how much paint you have when you are rolling on the trigger. All you have to do is develop a patern a couple times of when you reload...then alter it. The other guy looks right into the paint thinking he is clear. But the down fall of the Pinochio is the size. Damn blimp on top of your gun.if you use the extension the weight of the paint totally ruins your ability to snap so you end up using all that paint in posted posistions and losing your situational awareness. And without the extension it is still heavy when full with its 230 capacity. Just a bit tooo much.
Oh...the bloody thing is fragile too I broke two bodies in less than 6 months. It was more hastle than cost to replace them so when I got the third body and swapped internals I sold it and bought a Rotor.

I have not looked back since then. The Rotor is simple. Easy to clean and operate. Light weight and offers a small profile. And I have yet to see any shells break on a Rotor.
They have had the problems in the past, but typically it is operator error that leads to it. The early versions jambed alot and you had to clear them manually....possible but a bitch in game situations. When the v2 was released and the shark fin added that helped, but guy continued over tighten their drive tension and make their Rotor jamb by hammering the paint into the feed neck...yes I was guilty of this. Your gun will shoot no fast with that tension setting maxed...it will however jamb regularly. There is a reason Dye has the bloody thing set in the mid range from the factory...it works good there!
The addition of the velcro strap int the V3 answered the tenency of the batteries jumping out of the tray during dives by simply strapping them in place so now that is no longer a problem.
Battery life is unbelivable! I change mine yearly. They advertise 30 cases of paint befor the three "AA" baatteries give out and I think they are pretty close to spot on.
Did I mention how tuff they are? I have accedentally dropped and then kicked mine down a flight of stairs while dragging my gear into the house. My old Halos never survived that...the Rotor did not care. Water does not phase it. And all a really dirty field will do is posibly gett in through the speed feed and jamb a gear drive under the tray. If that happens you can clean it on the field in game and keep playing. Yes it sucks and is a hastle but it can be done in thirty seconds.

I say Rotor.

Prophecy keeps up just fine with my Tac One on RT mode... 25 bps. Takes hits fine, no feedneck problems with the aluminum inserts. Hell of a lot cheaper than rotors these days...I got mine boxing day last year for $80.

Either is a good choice, Rotor is plug and play; Proph is good for tinkerers (sound detection sensitivity, etc.).
