Hey guys, i have a quick question about my BT TM 15. I was wondering if you could help me. I really like the feel of this gun, but i don't seem to have the range that my teammates do. They all use the TM7, and get pretty good range. What can i do to fix this issue? Is there a break in period?

Thanks,

Scooterball

Translated into better english.

Try turning up your velocity. It sounds like it's pretty low. That usually accounts for the lack of range.

yeah and check barrel type and such. if they have apex barrels or even a better paint to barrel match... they could get better distance and accuracy

First thing you want to check is velocity. Get a chronograph and check how fast your TM-15 is shooting and how fast the TM-7s are. Adjust them so they are shooting around the same velocity (and under the 300 fps safety limit). As long as the guns are shooting the same velocity they should all have the same range (barring backspin barrels like the Apex).

Now if you are getting poor accuracy at range then your paint is probably the biggest culprit. Switch to a better grade paint. The barrel will have some effect, but usually not as much as the paint. If you use good paint, then try getting an aftermarket barrel. I personally like Lapco barrels best.

Yep! Get a good bore to bore match between the paint and the barrel. Helps accuracy and distance

sameagol....welcome to the forums. I hope you enjoy the place.

Take the time to look at the date stamp of the threads you are ready to reply in. This one for example has been inactive for 7 mounths prior to your post. Chances are the original author of this thread has found, isolated and fixed the problem that lead him to create this post in the first place and bringing the topic back to the top of the list really does not help unless you are offering a different perspective solution to the problem.

Don't be affraid to add your thoughts to the pool of information, just check out the dates prior so you are not adding brains to a zombie thread!

Have a good day.
