I was looking at the Opsgear site today and noticed that they have some interesting looking M4 barrels. Has anyone ever tried them?

Yeah. I've handled the M4 16 inch on my friends 98. The only complaint I've heard so far, is that on cold weather they tend to really chop, and freeze up quickly. Other then that, they're fairly decent, and look really nice with almost any mod they have.

Jus to clear something up.

Barrels do not cause Ball Chops

1. What causes Ball Chops

Old Paintballs were used and have slightly swelled up, thus preventing a ball to Free Fall into the Breech after each Cycle of the Bolt.
Firing faster than what the Hopper can feed.
An obstruction in the Feed Neck of the Hopper.

2. If the Paintballs that are coming out that looks like they were chopped, thats called a Barrel Break, which is caused by

Velocity Spikes.
Velocity Set too high.
A small piece of metal somewhere along inside the Barrel Walls that can rip open a Paintball when propelled.
Balls used are bigger than the Bore Size of the Barrel.

As to the question why a Barrel would Freeze Up in the Winter, using Co2 and Firing Fast is the cause.

That's what I was thinking Evil... The only barrel I know of that can chop a ball is the apex when it is cold out. The material that the backspin "lip" is made out of gets harder than a rock. It's no fun..
