You mean people actually stop playing cause it's cold? Weak! :D

Ever try playing in -45 C? dont work to well especially when CO2 is the only option really around here compound that with 3 1/2' of snow on the woodsball field i use and that makes it no good here, but as soon as its warm enough for the CO2 im gonna rip out my snow boots and get some buddies together for a first game of the season, should be fun with the snow :P

I actually played more this past winter than I did over the summer! Here in Western PA/NE Ohio we played in single digits temps twice, the second time w/ wind chill around zero -- honestly, it was way too cold that second time w/ paint breaking if you looked at it wrong, but it made us play a lot of CQB cause you couldn't get a ball to fly straight beyond 30 feet (that was a fun day of play).

I am looking forward to spring ball, the only problem is rain... I'd rather play in 30* temps w/ snow than 60* w/ rain. Hopefully it stays dry long enough on Saturday for a game.

Other than the being wet and muddy thing... is there a down side to paintball in the rain?

Yea, i say we have a fund raiser to buy a ton if heaters and melt the winter away to play in the winter. Hmmm, Now wat kind of fund rasier should we have. I can't bake so that leaves washing cars for me. Now if we can only get some hot girls in bikinis to promote this.

So whos in...ill buy the soap and sponges....well $20's worth B)

I cannot wait! Here in southern Alberta the weather is still making up its mind. One day +15C the next it's snowing and like -20C. Hopefully here soon we can get out and play

12 grams don't work so well in the cold, but it could just be me.

That's because they are filled with C02.

Back on topic, I live in FL, where it's painfully hot to play in the summer (but we do anyway, with a LOT of water- FL weather FTL). In the middle of winter we got days where the high was in the freakin' 80's. For me, the perfect weather for paintball is in the low 60's in the middle of "winter" (if such a thing exists down here).

Southern Oregon weather is so dang erratic. Last week it literally went from 70 F and beautiful to 50 F and raining, then colder and hail, then snow, and was back to 70 and beautiful within two hours. Trying to play a long game is impossible. We have to cap each game at about 20 minutes, just so we can change clothes, gear, and paint to accomodate for the weather. It definitely keeps you on your toes though :ninja:. But when the weather does cooperate, it's amazing. 65 degrees, cool breeze, the sun won't blind you... I love it here.

Im psyched for spring, but the weather in Indiana is so damned erratic that I cant get out to play. Its the middle of april and we're still hitting lows of 29 and then raining for 3 days straight. It sucks here, and every year its the same.

Believe me, nobody would even think about playing paintball in mid feb here in MN. I get scared enough just running for my life out to my car.

Paintball time never left down here in the not-so-sunny sunshine state. I just played a game in pouring rain (good thing I rock a tippy). Only the true addicts play in the pouring rain, with about an inch of water on top of the shallowest parts of the field, giant puddles behind each and every bunker, and a knee deep moat in the ditch on one side of the fort. Water seeped into my barrel's porting and in my mask. I could barely see anything, and if I could, I couldn't hit it. My one and only elimination was when I got a "surrender" kill on the last enemy standing ( my first bunkering someone). I went through about a case of paint and a grenade that got caught on a tree branch and went off in my face. The greatness of paintball is that none of that matters, and I still had the time of my life.
